We volunteer to contribute to our neighborhood. We come back to volunteer again because we made a fond memory of someone we helped. We had a conversation to lift their spirits; we held their hand because they were anxious; we got them something to drink and stayed a while to give them company; we helped them with their consent forms; we guided them through the line; we collected and distributed food; we explained what the blue vest represents; we saw the look on the nurse's face when we came for another shift. We are compassionate, we are empathetic, we are dedicated, we are resilient, we are hopeful, we are the blue light at the end of the long tunnel. CCDC is holding up the County with our random acts of kindness. It is an honor and a privilege to be part of this awesome organization.
