My friend Ed Kline rocking it in State College. Today, I was honored to attend Ed's presentation at the PA DoH Statewide Advisory Committee on Preparedness (SACP). It was a time for Ed to shine…and he did. But, it was really a time to spotlight the awesome COVID-19 response accomplishments of Delaware County overall but in particular the incredible contributions of the volunteers…the Citizens Corps of Delaware County (CCDC) aka the Blue Army. And, Ed really rocked that part!
For a little over 16 years I have been honored to work with the team in DELCO. And, for more than 10 years of that time I have been able to work side-side with Ed and the MRC/CCDC. While there are many who contributed to the successful response in DELCO, the real keys to success were 1) the capability and capacity delivered by the Blue Army for more than 24 continuous months and 2) exceptional tactical and operational-level leaders…and much of that led and enabled by Ed.
Well done TEAM and well done Ed! Plenty of lessons to be learned on the road ahead…but you "done good" on this one!
